New air travel rules on the way for passengers

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO/AP) — Travelers have received some news that could make a future trip less stressful. New federal rules will apply no matter the airline travelers are using. They’ll receive a refund if a flight is canceled or “significantly” delayed and the traveler turns down travel credits or alternative transportation; a significant delay means one that’s longer than three hours for a domestic flight and longer than six hours for an international flight.
