Rudy Gobert made some history. Victor Wembanyama nearly did. Gobert, the Minnesota centre, was announced Tuesday as the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year for a record-tying fourth time — joining Basketball Hall of Fame inductees Dikembe Mutombo and Ben Wallace.
